Excedo connects fibre network to TeliaSonera Ethernet

(Telecompaper) Excedo Communications, a Swedish provider of telecommunication services for businesses, has entered into a Nordic region agreement with and Telia Operator Business to interconnect Excedo Communications' fibre network ExcedoNet with the TeliaSonera Ethernet platform. The contract runs for three years. TeliaSonera Ethernet is a Nordic multi-service platform service for large-scale users and providers of communications services such as Excedo Communications. Telia Business Operator is responsible for the operation, maintenance and security of the network. The agreement is the start of Excedo Communications' commitment to delivering high-quality Ethernet services realised on SHDSL, VDSL and fibre in various capacities.

PEG Bandwidth expands network with 1,500 new cell sites

(Telecompaper) Provider of high-capacity Ethernet backhaul networks, PEG Bandwidth has announced the expansion of its network with a series of recently executed contracts to serve 1,500 new cell sites spanning ten states throughout Central, Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern United States. The expansion will add over 7,900 route miles to the PEG Bandwidth fibre network, which once completed, will total over 11,000 route miles across fifteen states. The deployments will support four large wireless operators' 4G expansions.
